How we collect and use your information

If you fill in a contact form, or a form to register your interest, on any of our pages we may collect the email address you provide and any other identifying information you include, such as a name or phone number. We also collect your IP address for quality assurance and cyber security purposes (e.g. to respond appropriately to denial of service and other inappropriate use of our systems).

If you have submitted a form to register your interest in certification, we will use your information to contact you, to confirm your details (we may send your details to your nominated entity – but if this is located outside Australia, we will not be able to confirm that they comply with the Privacy Act 1988 [Cth]), and we may in future create a ‘user account’ for you. Other than circumstances such as unlawful activity or serious threats to health and safety, or as otherwise permitted by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), we do not share personal information.

If you ask us about an issue that needs to be dealt with by another agency, we will provide you with the necessary details so that you can make contact with that agency yourself.
